7 Key Simple Interact Integrations With NextGen Enterprise
Simple Interact integrates with NextGen via its API to streamline and expedite patient workflow and eliminate time-wasting tasks like manual data entry.
The goal? Allowing today’s front offices to refocus their time and resources where they count most: enhancing the patient experience.
Simple Interact’s commitment to deep integration allows us to supplement the NextGen platform across seven essential categories:
Integration #1: Appointment Data
Simple Interact integrates bidirectionally with NextGen Enterprise, which means appointment data syncs smoothly back and forth across both platforms.
For instance, if your front-office team creates, changes, or cancels an appointment in NextGen, it’s automatically reflected in Simple Interact’s calendar. If a patient checks in or confirms an appointment via Simple Interact, the appointment status and any related notes update immediately in NextGen.
Integration #2: Patient Data
Patients can update their personal information — demographics, address, contact information, and more — quickly and conveniently via Simple Interact. Updates are immediately pushed to the relevant areas of the patient’s record, and any related tasks for the staff can be added.
Integration #3: Medical History
Simple Interact enables patients to share details of their medical history, such as allergies, medications, social history, past medical history, and surgical history. Simple Interact pushes these as discrete data into the patient’s record on NextGen Enterprise. Some details, such as vaccinations, gynecological history, and family history, come through in PDF form.
Integration #4: Encounter Data
When patients check in for their appointment, Simple Interact pushes their encounter-related data to NextGen, including vitals and screening results such as the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9) score as discrete data. Some details, such as chief complaint (CC), history of present illness (HPI), and review of systems (ROS), come through in PDF form. This also includes an auto-generated human-readable physician note to help save time for the medical staff.
Integration #5: Images and PDFs
Simple Interact pushes PDFs of all completed patient forms and signed legal forms — as well as images of patient headshots and insurance cards — to the appropriate areas of NextGen Enterprise.
Integration #6: App Launcher
The NextGen App Launcher can be set up to mimic single sign-on, allowing front-office staff to access Simple Interact from within NextGen (instead of opening a separate dashboard) to approve discrete history data pushes.
Integration #7: Legal Data
Simple Interact offers a quick, simple way for patients to complete and sign legal forms (such as notice of privacy practices, office policies, medication authorizations, and designation of representative), then tracks effective dates and expiration dates.
When a patient returns after an expiration date, the system automatically prompts an updated signature from them, enabling the medical facility to remain compliant with patient releases. All legal data and PDFs are pushed automatically to NextGen, so both systems stay up-to-date.
